Happy Friday! We are so close to the weekend folks. I hope you have something fun planned like seeing friends, cleaning out your closet, or just sitting on the couch. In “celebration” I like to do a little online shopping. But I also like to save while doing so, so I spend my day looking at the best deals and tracking their prices to make sure it’s actually a good deal. I mean, there’s nothing worse than buying something “on sale” only to know later you could have waited out for a better price.
Thankfully, I managed to find some deals for items that are at their lowest or second lowest price, which can give you some great savings. Bonus: they’re items you were probably going to buy anyway like those paper towels you always need.
1. A foam roller to make working out more manageable
Finally getting back to the gym this year? Then your muscles might be sorer than usual. To make it so that you can actually walk the next day, I suggest foam rolling to relieve the tension in your muscles. The TriggerPoint Grid Foam Roller is the best compact foam roller we’ve ever tested because it’s durable, has varied rolling surface for different levels of massage, and it’s small enough to carry around wherever you’re training. Right now, it’s down to its lowest price in the colors black and pink, but you can get the other colors for just a few bucks more.
Protein powder makes for a great post recovery drink or is a great way to add some extra protein into your smoothies if you’re vegan and vegetarian. This stuff can be kind of expensive, but right now you can save 30% off different protein powders and supplements from Garden of Life, Optimum Nutrition, and more. If you were planning on stocking up soon anyway, now may be a great time to do so.
3. The best tax software to get ready for tax season
The new year, unfortunately, means it’s time to start thinking about doing your taxes. I know, I know. No one wants to deal with taxes, but it’s just part of life. This year, instead of letting it eat away at your subconscious while you procrastinate until April, start early and save. Right now, you can get TurboTax software for $20-$45 off, whether you need something simple or something more complex. We put TurboTax, H&R Block, and Tax Act to the test last year and found that TurboTax’s software was the easiest to use, making it our top choice.
4. A wireless charging pad for quick juice
Every day we’re constantly picking up our phones to check notifications, social media, and to respond to text messages. It’s nice to stay connected, but it seriously drains our phones and I find myself charging mine multiple times a day. But charging a phone is much simpler with a wireless charging pad. You just set it down and—bam—it’s charging. Right now, you can get this one from Anker for just $12 with the code “ANKERPAD.” At this price, you might as well buy multiple for your bedroom, kitchen, living room, and office.
Bored in the kitchen? It may be time to take on a new challenge—like making pasta from scratch. It sounds daunting, but we promise it’s not as hard as it looks, especially if you have a good pasta maker to work with. After testing out a variety of manual and electric pasta makers, we found that this one from Marcato is our favorite overall. We loved it because it was effortless to crank the handle, the knobs are easy to adjust, and there are attachments for fettuccine and spaghetti. Right now, it’s down to its second lowest price.
